About Sophie

Sophie, also known as ‘That Hair Loss Expert’ has become one of the most trusted hair loss consultants in the UK, after helping thousands of patients with her logical, genuine and caring approach.

With a background in Beauty Therapy Sciences and Cosmetics, Sophie became a hair loss consultant in 2012 and has since studied with The Institute of Trichologists. She has observed many surgeries and has plans to train and become a hair transplant surgeon’s assistant by 2026.

Sophie has had a deep understanding of hair loss from a young age. As a teenager, she witnessed her mother losing all of her hair due to chemotherapy treatment. She vividly remembers the moment her mother’s hair began to fall and the impact it had on her confidence. Thankfully, the treatment was successful, and her mother’s hair eventually returned.

Androgenic alopecia is common in Sophie’s family history, with most male relatives experiencing thinning or baldness in their 20s and 30s. This sparked her passion for understanding the causes of hair loss and discovering the most effective treatments to help others facing similar experiences.

Four years into her career, Sophie experienced postpartum hair loss following the birth of her first son. Despite knowing the cause and treatment options, she found the experience of losing handfuls of hair during washing and brushing unsettling. Having personally used hair loss treatments to restore her receding hairline, she understands the emotional impact of hair loss firsthand.

Sophie prides herself on being sensitive, understanding, professional, and knowledgeable. In consultations, she ensures clients leave feeling informed and confident in choosing the right treatment plan for their lifestyle. She values honesty and sets realistic expectations.

Outside of work, when time allows, Sophie enjoys staying active and spending time with her young family. She welcomes any questions, big or small, and is always happy to help.
